🎬 PART 1: "THE SACRIFICE AT THE ALTAR" - Full Story

No one asked questions after that.
Two terrified wedding guests rushed to the heavy wooden doors and slammed them shut, sliding the iron bolt into place and throwing the elegant hallway into deeper, suffocating shadow. The little girl flinched violently at the sound, but the groom placed a firm, protective hand on her trembling shoulder.
“You’re safe behind me,” he whispered, his voice steady despite the chaos.
The girl looked up at him, her chest heaving, barely able to breathe.
Outside, a heavy thud hit the door. Just once. Slow. Deliberate.
The entire hallway went completely rigid.
The groom looked down at the blood-stained wedding ring on the floor, picking it up. He turned the band over in his fingers. The custom engraving inside was familiar, intimate, and right now, filled every person left alive in that room with pure dread.
“This isn’t your mother’s,” he said, his eyes scanning her face.
The girl’s lips trembled, tears spilling over fresh dirt.
“She said... she found it on the monster that bit her.”
The groom's expression darkened, horror gripping his heart.
A low, guttural rasp scraped through the wood from the other side of the door. It barely sounded human anymore, but the words were clear:
“Open... the door...”
The little girl grabbed the groom’s stained tuxedo vest, burying her face in his chest.
The groom stood up to his full height, his protective instincts taking over as the remaining uninfected men stepped forward to form a defensive line with him.
Then, the girl whispered one final, devastating thing through her tears:
“Mommy said… if they followed me all the way here, it means she’s already turned.”
The groom stared blankly at the locked, rattling doors, his hands clenching into fists.
Then, a second, chillingly clear voice echoed from right outside the threshold:
“I’m still here.”
And the hallway went dead silent.
