🎬 PART 1: "THE EXORCISM OF SANITY" - Full Story

The kitchen plunged into a dead, bone-chilling silence.
The father slowly stood up to his full height, his body bracing like a protective wall to shield Sophie right behind him.
The demonic entity taking the form of Miss Vanessa crossed her arms. Her body remained hovering a few inches off the cold floor, the hem of her black dress swaying unnaturally in the dead air.
“She’s just being dramatic,” her twisted, hollow voice echoed, sounding warped and glitched. “Children always find devious ways to lie when they are caught.”
Sophie’s tiny, frail fingers—now darkening with blackened, unnatural veins—tightened their grip around her father’s suit sleeve.
The father looked down at the rusted silver bowl on the floor, where a thick, tar-like black fluid was still bubbling, releasing a foul, nauseating stench. He then looked at his daughter's trembling, twitching hands.
His voice dropped low, freezing the room even more than the paranormal chill in the air: “How many times?”
The entity Vanessa blinked her vacant, ash-grey eyes. “What?”
He took a sharp step closer. Instantly, the pendant lights hanging above the kitchen island cracked and shattered violently into a million pieces.
“I asked you, how many times did you force my daughter to swallow that sickening sacrificial filth from that bowl?!”
For the very first time, Vanessa’s corpse-like, calm face cracked open, revealing a sickening glimpse of rotting flesh beneath the surface.
“She needed to be broken in to be a proper vessel,” she hissed through her teeth.
Sophie let out a small, breathless sob, shaking with pain. The man turned back to look at his child, hot tears rolling down his face, which was pale with rage and profound heartbreak.
“Sophie… my sweet girl… why didn’t you tell me?”
Sophie didn't dare to look her father in the eyes. Her pitch-black pupils narrowed as she stared down at the freezing marble floor.
“Because… she said if I did, she would consume your soul alive… and turn you into a monster just like her.”
The father’s face shifted completely. First came the devastating, agonizing shattering of his heart. And right after it, a primal, unyielding rage of a protector willing to walk straight into hell for his child.
Vanessa spoke quickly, the dark aura swirling violently around her body : “I was only preparing her! She is far too weak. Your late wife left behind a child with worthless, spoiled blood.”
The man went entirely still. The temperature in the room plummeted well below zero, his heavy breaths turning into thick clouds of white mist.
“Shut your mouth. You do not have the right to speak her mother’s name.”
The demon suddenly froze, her jaw chattering uncontrollably.
He carefully scooped Sophie up into his arms, holding her tightly against his chest as if she were a fragile piece of glass. Then, he stared directly into the entity's dead eyes one last time.
“You are being banished from this house today. Forever.”
Mumu let out a shrill, shrieking laugh—a piercing sound that shook the entire high-ceilinged room.
“You think you can? We are to be bound next month, your soul already belongs to me!”
He shook his head, his gaze burning with the ultimate resolve of a father. “No.”
His voice cracked with pain, but his steady eyes never wavered : “I almost brought a demon into my home. I almost sacrificed my only child to the dark.”
Sophie buried her small face deep into his shoulder.
Right at that moment, blinding light from the crosses and talismans of the spiritual wardens burst through the back doors. They charged forward, casting blessed chains that forced Vanessa’s screaming, distorted specter back into the dark abyss.
As the suffocating shadows finally dissolved, Sophie whispered, her fragile voice regaining a faint glimmer of her original innocence:
“Daddy… from now on, can I have dinner at the table where the sunlight reaches?”
He squeezed his arms around her, holding her even tighter.
“From this day on, you will never have to hide in the dark again.”
