🎬 PART 3: “Social Satire” - Full Story

The subway car jolted as it sped through the dark tunnels under Chicago. A group of teenagers in trendy streetwear sat in the middle row, completely glued to their glowing smartphones, laughing at a video. Right in front of them stood an exhausted, heavily pregnant woman, holding onto the metal handrail with white knuckles.
None of the teens looked up.
A seven-year-old boy in a neat school uniform sat a few seats away. He looked at the teens, shook his head with subtle disapproval, and stood up. He walked over to the woman and tapped her arm.
"You can take my seat, ma'am," the boy said politely, his American accent clear and innocent.
"Thank you, sweetie," the woman whispered, leaning heavily into the seat.
A wealthy businessman sitting next to the boy finally glanced up from his tablet, annoyed by the slight commotion. But as his eyes drifted over the pregnant woman, they locked onto the silver half-moon necklace resting against her collarbone.
The man stopped breathing. He went completely pale. He reached into his tailored suit pocket, his fingers brushing against the identical half he had carried for over a decade. He stood up too fast, nearly losing his balance as the train swayed.
"Anna?" the businessman whispered, his voice cracking.

The woman froze, slowly looking up at him. The relief on her face turned into a mixture of deep, lingering pain and recognition. "Hello, Dad," she said quietly.
The rich man closed his eyes, a heavy shadow of guilt crushing his face, while the teenagers next to them continued to scroll blindly on their phones, completely oblivious to the world tearing apart right in front of them.
