Chapter 16 - The Unshakable Proof

The climax of the trial arrived on the third day when the judge officially denied the defense motion, ruling that the navigation camera footage was fully admissible as public maritime evidence.
The courtroom lights were dimmed, and the prosecutor activated the main display screens. The jury watched in absolute silence as the high-definition video played.
The screen showed Julianna approaching Michael from behind, shoving him against the rail, pulling the black pistol, and aiming it at his face. It showed Michael raising his hands, stepping over the edge, and leaping into the ocean, followed by Julianna watching him fall before walking away.
The audio recording from Rafael's emergency Coast Guard call played simultaneously, capturing Michael's raw, shivering voice reporting the gunpoint assault just minutes after his rescue.
