Chapter 5 - The Ultimatum
Daniel slumped into the chair opposite me, the arrogance completely stripped from his eyes. "If you release that footage, Mercer Development collapses. The board will oust me, the banks will call our loans, and we both lose everything."
"There is no 'we', Daniel," I said coldly. "There is only you, reaping what you sowed."
I slid a legal document across the table. "Fifty percent equity transfer, immediate resignation as CEO, and a signed confession acknowledging your perjury and framing me."
"This will ruin me!" Daniel gasped.

"You have forty-eight hours to sign," I said, standing up. "Monday morning at nine, or the prosecutor gets the packet."
I walked out, leaving him staring at the paper in absolute horror.
