Chapter 18 - Checkmate

Arthur Vance sneered as Ethan approached the stage, whispering mockingly to his associates, 'Ah, the internet fraudster turned office errand boy.'
Ethan didn't flinch. He walked right up to the main podium, plugging his tablet directly into the master projector system.
'Those proxy agreements you're waving around, Arthur?' Ethan spoke clearly into the microphone, his voice echoing across the silent ballroom. 'They were signed using shell companies registered in offshore accounts that were frozen by federal regulators at eleven-thirty PM last night.'
The massive screen behind the stage flashed bright red, displaying detailed bank transcripts, wire transfers, and federal seizure warrants bearing Arthur Vance's signature.
Arthur's face drained of color in a single second, his arrogant smirk instantly dissolving into sheer panic.
'This... this is forged!' Arthur screamed, lunging forward before federal security officers intercepted him, pinning his arms behind his back.
The investors in the room gasped, instantly pulling out their phones to photograph the damning evidence displayed on screen.
Antoine stepped forward, looking down at his uncle with absolute, chilling calm.
'You always underestimated what people are capable of when they stop lying to themselves, Arthur,' Antoine said quietly.

Ethan stood tall on the stage, knowing he had finally earned his place not through lies or rented cars, but through absolute truth and unbreakable loyalty.
