Chapter 2 - The Viral Collapse

The video spread across social media platforms with terrifying speed, igniting an immediate wildfire of public mockery and internet outrage.
Within three hours of being uploaded by an anonymous bystander, 'Ferrari Fraud Ethan' was trending at the number one spot globally.
In his bedroom, Ethan stared blankly at his smartphone screen, watching his follower count plummet by tens of thousands every single minute.
His phone buzzed incessantly with notifications-memes, stitch videos, mocking comments, and direct messages demanding explanations.
His closest circle of friends had completely vanished; group chats that were once active twenty-four hours a day were now dead silent.
Even Chloe, the girl who had looked at him with such adoration just hours before, had blocked him on every single platform.
Ethan's father, a mid-level corporate executive with a fragile reputation, called him in a fit of absolute fury, screaming through the receiver.
'Do you have any idea what you've done?' his father roared. 'That video has reached my board of directors! People think our family is bankrupt and living a lie!'
Ethan stammered, trying to defend himself, but his father cut him off coldly: 'Don't call me until you've figured out how to pay back that ten thousand dollars.'
The crushing reality of his situation began to sink in. Ethan wasn't just humiliated; he was financially and socially ruined.
Meanwhile, Antoine was sitting quietly in his penthouse office overlooking the city skyline, sipping black coffee as he reviewed his company's latest quarterly earnings.
His business partner, a sharp-witted strategist named Sarah, walked in and placed a tablet on his desk, smiling wryly.
'Well, Antoine, your impromptu parking lot interaction has generated over forty million impressions for our brand,' Sarah noted.
Antoine didn't smile smugly. He simply looked at the video playback where Ethan stood paralyzed by the double-beep of the key fob.
'People spend their entire lives pretending to be someone they are not,' Antoine murmured thoughtfully. 'It's a tragedy, but it's also human nature.'
'Are you going to collect that ten grand?' Sarah asked, raising an eyebrow.
'Let him sweat,' Antoine replied calmly. 'Character isn't built in comfort. Let's see what he does when the walls finally close in.'
Back across town, Ethan found himself sitting alone in a cheap diner booth, nursing a lukewarm cup of coffee and contemplating his next move.

He knew he couldn't hide forever. The digital world had trapped him in a corner, and the only way out was to confront the man he had wronged.
Little did Ethan know, Antoine wasn't just a random wealthy stranger; their paths were entwined in a corporate chess match that had only just begun.
