The sterile, humming lights of the private medical wing in the Sterling Estate seemed blindingly bright. Clara lay on the maternity bed, her breathing heavy and rhythmic as she squeezed Liam's hand with every ounce of her remaining strength. With one final, powerful push, a sharp, beautiful cry echoed through the delivery room. The doctor smiled warmly, lifting a healthy, crying baby girl wrapped in a soft white blanket and placing her gently onto Clara's chest.
"She's healthy, Clara. She's perfect," Liam whispered, tears of profound relief streaming down his face as he kissed Clara's forehead.
