A diverse, multi-party parliament was elected, headed by a respected civil rights leader who was sworn in as the country's first Prime Minister.

During the inaugural legislative session, Mara was invited to deliver the opening address to the newly elected representatives.

Standing at the podium in the newly renovated parliament building, Mara looked out at the diverse group of men and women who now represented the voice of the nation.

"Today, Karsova steps into a bright, boundless future," Mara declared, her voice echoing with profound authority. "We have proven that power derived from the consent of the governed is infinitely stronger than power enforced by weapons."
