At the Westbridge Central Precinct, the brass memorial plaque honoring Officer Daniel Reed—which had been relegated to a dark, forgotten basement hallway for two decades—was brought up to the main grand rotunda.
Hundreds of officers, city leaders, and citizens gathered in pristine dress uniforms as the memorial was re-dedicated.
Arthur and Evelyn Pendelton stood in the front row alongside Caleb and his mother, Martha Reed, who held Caleb's hand with tears of profound pride and peace.
"Your father's name is finally cleared, Caleb," Martha whispered, kissing her son's cheek. "The whole world knows what kind of man he was."
