Chapter 26 - The Sterling Foundation

To mark the tenth anniversary of her victory, Rebecca announced the establishment of the 'Sterling Global Hope Initiative'—a hundred-million-dollar foundation dedicated to providing legal defense, housing support, and venture capital for women recovering from economic abuse and domestic betrayal.
The inauguration event was held at the newly constructed Sterling Tower in Manhattan.
Over a thousand women who had benefited from the foundation’s early programs attended, filling the atrium with powerful energy and inspiring stories.
A young woman stepped up to the podium—Chloe.
She looked entirely changed. She was thirty now, wearing a modest professional suit, holding a degree in non-profit management from Ohio State University. She was the regional director of the foundation’s Midwest branch.
"Ten years ago," Chloe spoke into the microphone, her voice full of emotional strength, "I was a shallow, lost, and manipulative person who participated in an act of cruelty against an incredible woman. When my life fell apart, that same woman didn't destroy me. She gave me a second chance."
The audience listened intently.

"Rebecca Sterling showed me what true power looks like," Chloe said, turning to look at Rebecca sitting in the front row. "It isn't about stepping on others. It is about lifting others up when they least expect it. Thank you, Rebecca, for saving my life."
Rebecca smiled warmly, wiping a small tear from her cheek as the auditorium clapped enthusiastically.
