Chapter 28 - A Mother's Pride

On a crisp autumn afternoon, Julian was officially awarded the New York Businessman of the Year award—the exact same award his father had obsessed over decades ago.
Standing on the stage of the Waldorf Astoria, Julian looked at his wife Clara, his daughter Maya, his step-father Gabriel, and his mother Rebecca sitting together in the front row.
"I dedicate this award," Julian said into the microphone, his voice echoing through the grand hall, "to my mother, Rebecca Sterling. She taught me that true leadership is not measured by how many people serve you, but by how many people you serve. She showed me that when the world tries to discard you, you don't break—you build."
