Chapter 26 - Testimonies in Tattered Silk

Saturday, June 12th.
The morning sun broke over Vance Manor in an explosion of radiant golden light. The sky was a clear, vivid sapphire blue, without a single cloud in sight. A gentle, fragrant breeze blew across the rolling hills of the estate.
In the master suite, Maya sat before a tall vanity mirror, wearing an exquisite, custom-made ivory lace wedding dress that flowed gracefully to the floor like liquid silk. Her blonde hair was styled in soft elegant curls, adorned with small white orchids.
There was a soft knock on the door. Director Marcus Thorne walked in, wearing a sharp formal tuxedo.
"You look breathtaking, Maya," Thorne said softly, his voice full of fatherly pride.
"Thank you, Marcus," Maya smiled, turning to face him. "Thank you for walking me down the aisle today."
"It is the greatest honor of my life, Maya," Thorne said sincerely, offering his arm. "Are you ready?"
"I've been ready my whole life," Maya replied with complete confidence.
Meanwhile, at the bottom of the grand staircase, Daniel stood wearing a classic black tuxedo, his heart pounding with joyful excitement. Beside him stood Noah, looking dashing in his matching suit and bow tie, holding a velvet cushion with the two wedding rings.
The grand pipe organ began to play a beautiful, uplifting processional melody.
The heavy French doors opened onto the sweeping garden lawn. Over three hundred guests stood up as Maya appeared at the top of the aisle, holding Director Thorne's arm.
Daniel took a deep breath, his breath catching in his throat as he watched his bride walk toward him under the canopy of white roses and summer sunlight. She was the most magnificent sight he had ever laid eyes on.

"I see her, buddy," Daniel whispered back, his eyes brimming with tears of overwhelming happiness. "She's our angel."
